Give Your Studio An Edge

Give Your Studio An Edge

With Social Media

Owning and operating a dance studio, while it may be a dream job, can be like any other job and cause you to have some stress and concern throughout the day.  Sometimes it might seem that you are doing all you can to keep everyone up to date and current with all that is going on in the studio, but many are still missing out on important information.  One of the easiest ways to spread news out to all involved at your studio is to use social media.  On top of getting out the word to dancers, instructors, parents, and more, social media can also help in promoting your business and more.  So how should you be using social media to reach out at your studio?

Facebook – Set up your studio with a Facebook business account, and you are sure to get all kinds of ‘Likes’ from current and past dancers, parents, and those who have possibly seen your performances.  You can also share class times and more that will allow for those interested in taking some classes from your studio to know what’s going on.  Schedule changes, important notices, and fun facts about your studio can be great ways to communicate on Facebook as well.

YouTube – A YouTube account for your dance studio can show people what you’re all about.  Videos of classes, choreography, and shows can give your studio an edge.  People looking for a studio can see if your studio has all the stuff they are looking for.  Just make sure that it is okay with dancers if you post the videos online first.

Twitter – Updating a Facebook and Twitter might seem like too much, but there are ways to combine the two.  Plus one of the greatest things about Twitter are the specials you can offer to recruit more dancers.  Offer discounts and savings for followers and you will notice that they will come.
